Participating in Health Intervention Trips to Liguang Village, Yunnan Province

Prof. Emily Y. Y. Chan, a GCR member, took two health intervention trips to Liguang Village, Yunnan Province. The trips were part of the Ethnic Minority Health Project conducted by the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response. This site was selected as the project site for the Ethnic Minority Health Project in 2018–19.


As the person in charge, Prof. Chan took part in several exchange activities with local residents, including conducting interviews with the village heads and village doctor. Comprehensive understanding of the health status and associated issues among villagers was established to assist villagers to increase their health awareness.
