Attending the Linguistic 2018 Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC2018)

7–12 May 2018 | Miyazaki, Japan



The 11th Edition of the LREC took place in Miyazaki, Japan, on May 7–12, 2018. Since the first LREC held in Granada in 1998, LREC has aimed to provide an overview of the state of the art, new research & development directions and emerging trends, exchange of information regarding LRs and their applications, evaluation methodologies and tools, ongoing and planned activities, industrial uses and needs, requirements from the e-society, both with respect to policy issues and to technological and organizational ones.


As the member of Conference’s Scientific Committee, GCR member Prof. Kam-fai Wong was invited to co-chair one of the workshops on “Belt and Road Language Resources and Evaluation.” The session engaged 26 panellists.
