Participating in the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI)’s “3rd Chinese Youth Congress on Artificial Intelligence”

The 3rd Chinese Youth Congress on Artificial Intelligence took place in Shenzhen, China on 20–21 December 2017. Founded in 1981, the CAAI is the only state-level science and technology organization in the field of artificial intelligence under the Ministry of Civil Affairs, China. The CAAI has 40 branches, including 34 professional committees and six working committees, covering the fields of science and smart technology. The CAAI is devoted to academic activities in science and technology in China.

This year, GCR member Prof. Kam-fai Wong was invited to give a speech on the connection among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to develop the Greater Bay Area Project. Prof. Wong compared the productivity of the Greater Bay Area, Tokyo Bay, and San Francisco Bay and put forward the idea of three new metropolitan areas, led by Hong Kong, Guangdong, and Macao respectively.
