Guest lectures to the students of the Belt and Road Initiative Cultural Tour

On the morning of 26 and July 2017, Dr Victor Zheng, the Research Coordinator of the GCR, gave two guest lectures to about 60 students who participated in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Cultural Tour. The tour was comprised of students from Beijing and Lanzhou.


In the two lectures, Dr Victor Zheng explained the background of the BRI and explored Hong Kong’s unparalleled role and position in the BRI. He analysed the BRI using the theory of Globalization and examined the development of the China Model. He also assessed the economic opportunities and challenges for China arising out of the BRI.
