2019-06-14

1415 June 2019 | The Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Department of Geography and Resource Management, the Global China Research Programme, and the Institute of Environment, Energy, and Sustainability of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) co-hosted the WUN Workshop on Matching CO2 Sources and Sinks via CO2 Shipping, on 14–15 June. The workshop assembled scholars from international and interdisciplinary research backgrounds to share the progress that they have made in their research on carbon capture, utilization, and storage.

The workshop was divided into three sessions: CO2 capture, CO2 Pipeline Transportation and Routing, and CO2 Shipping. The sessions were moderated by Prof. Lei Zhu (Associate Professor, School of Economics and Management, Beihang University, Beijing, China), Prof. Handong He (Assistant Professor, Anhui Agricultural University, China), and Prof. Yuan Xu (Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Resource Management, CUHK), respectively. Through this workshop, the participating speakers engaged in in-depth exchanges and hopefully made progress in further research collaborations.
