Attending the 2018 Global Health Forum in Taiwan

With the theme “Resilience: New Challenges and Opportunities for Global Health”, the Forum attempted to examine and engage in discussions on resiliency, ranging from an overarching level to specific settings and issues with title. The forum consisted of two plenary sessions and seven parallel sessions, focused on topics related to resiliency, such as infectious disease, crises faced by health systems, the challenges of natural disasters and humanitarian relief efforts.


Prof. Emily Y. Y. Chan, GCR member, was invited as one of the speakers in the second plenary session, “Resilience in Settings: Challenges and Solutions”. She gave a presentation on Health Emergency Disaster Risk Management (H-EDRM) for Health System. Over 300 participants from 35 countries participated in the forum.
